Prop List - By Rachael Whittaker

This is our prop list in order of props that appear in our short film.

1. Cameras - There will be lost of cameras throughout the film which are coming from the press, which means there will be lots of flashes going off coming from the gate of the drive so we need a good handful or more.

2. Car - This is Connor's prop as it is his car that he uses. The car is shown when in the drive and in the when he meets the drug dealer.

3. Mobile Phone - This will be a blackberry phone as it is a well known high tech mobile phone brand mainly aimed towards the business and as Connor is an actor he is also a business man who needs to get hold of his agent a lot of the time as he does in the short film.

4. Bottle of Vodka - Being an 18 year old Connor feels he has to result to alcohol as he believes it'll numb him. She tries to block out reality of what is happening outside his house which is the press taking snaps constantly trying to get a story by stalking the actor.

5. Cigarettes - Being an Actor is very stressful job with having to deal with the surroundings. Which are fans, other actors to compete against for roles in films and especially the press. Due to these Connor has been smoking for awhile now as its what he believes it relieves stress for him.

6. Cocaine Drug - is an illegal drug substance. Connor results to this as the final straw from the pressure of the press. This is a modern illegal drug that is used by many people even though it is an illegal in countries of the UK and the USA.

We frequently see on the news celebrities who have reacted badly to being constantly hounded by the press either by attacking or shouting. A few examples are below:

Russell Brand reacts badly were the press try to get too close to his girlfriend Katy Perry.

Actors Overview

Originally we said that we were going to have the actors overview as part of the film but we have since decided not to because we think that people may become confused to whether this is a film or documentary. So we are still going to do this overview but we are going to do it as a separate part that will be posted on the blog.

Drug Allegations - By Rachael Whittaker

Drug allegations are always being targeted at celebrities but everything is really even if they are true or not. This is because people tend to look up to certain celebrities as some sort of role model. A recent drug allegation has been aimed to a boxer called Ricky Hatton, 31 and is a two weight former world champion. Ricky Hatton when on a night out was caught on video camera secretly taking a line of cocaine. From this incident actions had to be taken so the boxer lost his fighting licence and his manager's licence although he was able to keep his promoter's licence as they saw it wouldn't affect him with the situation; he was also fined £20,000. Ricky Hatton had this to say about what has happened "I'm so angry I could knock myself out," he said. "I'm disgusted at myself for what I have done. I've had a wonderful career and am furious that I have tarnished it.".

I have gathered this information from the following link Hatton on Drugs

Being a celebrity can be stressful and we want to put this across in our film. We want to send a message tot the audience how the press can go too far just to get a good story even if the situation is true or not. In the Ricky Hatton situation it was true but the stories are not always.

The Last Line - Filming Scenes Outlined

Title Sequence
Shot of newspaper been placed on doorstep and we can clearly see the headline on the front page.

Scene 1
Actor and Girlfriend arrive home and pull up onto the drive. After weeks of constant media attention the pair are now immune to the constant harassment. As the pair get out of the car (In Slow Motion) we can see the press hurdling their way towads the couple with the flash of cameras bouncing of them and also shouting questions and quotes. Finally they can make there way to the door and get in the house.

Scene 2
We are now in the celebs house, and he is going to phone his agent, girlfriend is out of the room while he makes the call. The agent asks him about the scandal and he denies all knowledge saying that he has nothing to do with it and its a rumor. The agent doesn't believe the star and decides that this is his time to exit. Leaving the star with no one to help him tackle this mess.

Scene 3
Connor is drinking Vodka from a bottle in the house after been dumped by his agent after a spell with the bottle and a few cigarettes his girlfriend arrives home. But while she is walking down the drive she again is surrounded by the press and they are telling her how he is drunk and has been out coursing lots of commotion with the press. When Lucy enters the house she begins to think about the recent press comments because she has found her boyfriend on the floor passed out after he has been drinking. Lucy wakes up the young star and tries to talk to him about what is actually going on here now. She doesn't make much sense as the couple have a brief shouting argument and then Lucy walks out. However after hearing all that has gone off in the house the press again have a great reception for Lucy shouting and screaming at her for information about what is going on with the couple and more importantly Connor. No Comment is all they here.

Scene 4
After about an hour the ypung star now even more alone and mentally shot he gets in the car and heads to somewhere that can make things a lot worse for him in more ways than one. Connor is seen getting into his car DRUNK! Also then he buys some drugs from a local dealer and just heads back to the house. Things are really starting to get to the star now and needs some help but after been dumped by everyone he believes that this is his way out.

Scene 5
Back home the star gets out the drugs and starts taking them from the dinning room table, after a brief dose he now has no control over what he is doing. maybe because it is on his mind he heads outside, the press hurdle to him and start to realizes the state of Connor taking photos and shouting abusive comments to the star he snaps and turns on a camera man hits him knocking him to the ground. Connor heads back inside after a light bulb seems to switch on and he realizes what he has just done.
But no the star now has something else omn him mind and headimng for the table and taking more drugs we then cut to a shot of the press out side talking about the events that have just happened we hear a big crash and then silence the press realise something isn't right so they shoot into the house. seeing a shot from the camera that was dropped when Connor hit the camera man we see the press rush into the house and then comes a black out and we can just her the sound of sirens and then a news reader saying "Early this morning Connor Maison died after press found him on his kitchen floor with his wrists slit and the knife in his hands. His girlfriend released this statement earlier. "For a few months now Connor was receiving a lot of media attention that he quoted as been bad for the image that he wanted to create, Connor always told me he wanted to be a good role model to younger people but after these allegations were made up it broke Connor and also our relationship but also the support that could have helped him threw this also drove away and left him alone and Connor must have decided that this was all too much to him. However i know that he would have wanted this to be a lesson to the public and also the worlds press that false their false allegations have drove him to this and he wasn't the first and will not be the last unless we do something about this now.

Title Sequence - Example

The Hangover has a very similar titile sequence to what i would like to create in many different ways, but however the main way that i like their title sequence is that the music gives a very rich and wealthy feel to it when they are arriving in Vegas. Also they way that the Editing has been done creates passage of time really well because they are travelling the journey is shown in around a minute. In the titles in our Film there is a car journey so i want to take examples away from this sequence to help us with that passage of time.

Here is a Link to The Hangover Title Sequence:
